NAMASTE...(bonjour en nepali ou plus pompeusement : je vois le dieu qui est en toi !)

Je viens de faire un trek soutenu vers l'Everest et les lacs de Gokyo, à la rencontre des ethnies Nepalaises et de l'impressionnante chaîne himalayenne.

Kathmandu a été notre ville d'accueil, attachante et très colorée.

Lukla est un petit altiport accroché à la montagne. Là j'ai rencontré l'ensemble de l'équipe du trek : sirdar, sherpa, cuisinier et porteurs.

Nous marchons ensuite jusqu'à Phakding, à 2600 m d'altitude.

Le 5ème jour, nous remontons la Dudh Kasi pour rejoindre la capitale du pays sherpa : Namche Bazar à 3450m. Construit dans un cirque, ce village est composé de maisons traditionnelles, commerces et petits lodges.

Le 6ème jour, journée d'acclimatation, nous montons à Khumjung à 3780 m, avec une très belle vue sur les massifs montagneux. J'ai dormi à Namche Bazar.

Le 7ème jour, nous arrivons à Tengboche 3860 m et son célèbre monastère construit face à l'Ama Dablam 6856 m.

Le 8ème jour, traversée de la forêt, passage par le monastère de Pengboche et arrivée à Dingboche 4410 m.

Le 9ème jour, en suivant la Imja Khola, montée et nuit à Chhukung 4730 m, au pied de Lhotse 8501 m.

Le 10ème jour, redescente sur la rive droite de la Imja Kola pour atteindre Pheriche 4243 m.

Le 11ème jour, nous grimpons dans la vallée du glacier de Khumbu pour dormir à Lobuche 4910 m.

Le 12ème jour, nous rejoignons Gorak Shep pour monter au Kala Pattar, 5550m le plus beau belvédère de la vallée de Khumbu. Nous dormons à Gorak Shep 5250 m.

Le 13ème jour, excursion au mythique Camp de Base de l'Everest, E.B.C. pour les intimes. Le monde du trek y rencontre le monde de l'alpinisme...Tant d'aventures s'y sont déroulées !

Le 14ème jour, marche jusqu'au village de Dzonglha 4900 m.

Le 15ème jour, nous passons, chacun à notre rythme, le Cho La Pass 5420 m pour rejoindre Thanak 4690m.

Le 16 ème jour, traversée du glacier Ngojumba jusqu'aux splendides lacs de Gokyo 4750 m.

Le 17 ème jour, ascension du Gokyo Peak 5280 m. Nuit à Gokyo 4750 m.

Le 18 ème jour, passage du célèbre Renjo La Pass 5340 m et nuit à Lengdeng 4380 m.

Le 19 ème jour, descente dans la vallée de la Bhote Kasi jusqu'au village de Thame 3800 m. Là nous pouvons aller prendre un café au lodge du célèbre Apa Sherpa, qui a atteint le sommet de l'Everest pour la 17 ème fois en mai 2007.

Le 20ème jour, passage par Namche Bazar et nuit à Monjo 2825 m.

Le 21 ème jour, après 18 jours de trek, nous rejoignons Lukla 2850 m

Du 22ème au 24 ème jours, vol pour Kathmandu, pour visiter cette très jolie ville, en passant par Durbar Square ou le quartier touristique de Thamel.

Le 25 ème jour, arrivée à Paris !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Voilà, le résumé de ce très beau voyage au coeur de la chaîne himalayenne, une expédition dont kim est très fière, car le trek est assez dur, vu l'altitude très élevée...et ce froid qui vous glace le corps la nuit venue....mais vivre au milieu des nepalais, leur parler, manger avec eux, rire et sourire...capter tous ces instants de bonheur avec les enfants, est un si merveilleux moment...

Kim est repartie du Nepal, les larmes aux yeux....

J'ai pleuré en quittant mes amis sherpas, Tilak, Kishor, Amar, Milan, Yam, Suva, Shyam....Nous avons grimpé ensemble ces cols enneigés, ces sentiers au soleil, avec le sourire, l'émotion dans le coeur, les yeux émerveillés par la beauté du pays...en chantant....Om Mani Padme Hum....

J'ai adoré les enfants durant tout mon trekking au Nepal.

Et partager avec vous ce soir toutes ces émotions dans ce pays du bout du monde, où la pauvreté existe certes , mais la pureté est réellement présente et la gentillesse IMMMMMMENSE dans le coeur de chacun...

I just made a sustained trek towards the Everest and the lakes of Gokyo, to meet the Nepalese ethnicities and the impressive Hymalayan mountain range.

Kathmandou was our welcoming city, attractive and very colourful.

Lukla is a small altiport clinging on the mountain. There I met the whole team of the trek: sirdar, sherpa, cook and the carriers.

Then we walk to Phakding, at an altitude of 2600m.

The 5th day we climb to the Dudh Kasi to get to the sherpa country Capital: Namche Bazar at 3450m. Built in a circus, this village is made of traditional houses, commerces and small lodges.

The 6th day, acclamatization day, we climb to Khunjung at 3780m, with a beautiful view on the mountains. I slept at Namche Bazar.

The 7th day, we arrive at Tengboche 3860m and its famous monastery build facing the Ama Dablam 6856m.

The 8th day, crossing of the forest, passing by the Pengboche monastery and arrival at Dingboche, 4410m.

The 9th day, following the Imja Khola, night climbing at Chhukung 4730m, at the foot of the Lhotse 8501m.

The 10th day, descend again on the right bank of the Imja Kola to reach Pheriche 4243m.

The 11th day, we climb in the valley of the Khumbu glacier to sleep at Lobuche 4910m.

The 12th day, we reach Gorak Shep to climb to Kala Pattar, 5550m the most beautiful belvedere of the valley of Khumbu. We sleep at Gorak Shep 5250m.

The 13th day, excursion to the mythical Base Camp of the Everest, E.B.C. for the intimate friend. The wold of the trekkers meets the world of the climbers... So many adventures happened there !

The 14th day, walk to the village of Dzonglha 4900m.

The 15th day, we pass, each one of us at its own pace, the Cho La Pass 5420m to get to Thanak 4690m.

The 16th day, crossing of the Ngojumba glacier up to the splendid lakes of Gokyo 4750m.

The 17th day, climbing of the Gokyo Peak 5280m, We passed the night at Gokyo 4750m.

The 18th day, passing throught the famous Renjo La Pass 5340m, and a night at Lengdeng 4380m.

The 19th day, descent in the valley of the Bhote Kasi to the village of Thame 3800m, There we can take a coffee at the lodge of the famous Apa Sherpa, who climbed the Everest for the 17th time in May 2007.

The 20th day, passing by Namche Bazar, and the night at Monjo 2835m.

The 21st day, after a trek of 18 days, we reach Lukla 2850m.

From the 22nd to the 24th days, flight to Kathmandou, to visit this very nice city, passing by Durbar Square or the tourist district of Thamel.

The 25th day, arrival in Paris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is it, the summary of this beautiful trip in the heart of the Himalayan mountain range, an expedition which Kim is very proud of, because this trek is very hard, because of the hight altitude... and this cold that freezes your body during the night.... but living among the Nepalese people, to talk with them, to eat with them, to laugh and smile... to capture all those instants of happiness with the children, is such a wonderful moment...

Kim left the Nepal with tears in her eyes....

I cried while leaving my Sherpa friends, Tilak, Kishor, Amar, Milan, Yam, Suva, Shyam.... Together we have climbed those snowy passes, those sunny paths, smiling, the heart filled with emotions, the eyes mesmerized by the beauty of the country... singing... Om Mani Padme Hum...

I adored the children during all my trekking in Nepal.

And I share with you this evening all the emotions of this country from the end of the world, where poverty exists for sure, but the purity is really present and the kindness is IMMMMMMENSE in the heart of each one...
